ANAHITA: Sunrise over Ile aux Cerf

Right on the Mauritian east coast and just next to the southern tip of Ile aux Cerf lays the Anahita Golf and Spa Resort, the perfect place for people who seek privacy, space, relaxation and golfing opportunities.

This large and spacious property features a variety of villas and suites. The villas and the higher categories of suites have private pools, gardens and balconies which are protected from view.

The sheer size of the property and the low density of buildings create a very different, village style atmosphere.

This creates a problem that most people who live in villages will know all too well. Not everybody can live close to the bakery!

In case of this little village called Anahita, the bakery is more of an analogy for the Hotel’s four Restaurants, the Bar, the main Pool, the Spa and some shops which are all situated in the center of the resort.

But nevertheless, you will be faced with the question: “How the heck do I get to my breakfast?”

The resort has several solutions for the problem: They allow guests to drive their own car directly to their villa or suite and offer enough parking. On top of that the resort has bikes you can borrow. The most obvious solution for a Golf resort might be the last one though: Golf carts.

This also brings us to the next strength of Anahita: Its Golfing opportunities.

The Resort is a paradise for Golfers. Their own 18 hole championship golf course designed by Ernie Els lays directly next to the entrance area and can be overseen from their Italian Trattoria. Golf carts with GPS and the well-equipped Pro-shop support the unique experience of golfing directly on the coastline with view on Ile aux Cerf.

If only a view on Ile aux Cerf is not enough for you, you can just jump on one of the transfer boats and start a round of golf on the equally well-equipped 18 hole championship golf course on the island which was designed by Bernhard Langer .

Once you are there you might as well relax in one of the sun loungers on the exclusive beach on the east side of the island.

If you seek entertainment in the evening you will find a live band or DJ in the Bar. But better not party to long, because the sunrise over Ile aux Cerf is something you do not want to miss!
